HJP COOK FOR LOVE

Kinfolk - Honey Harvest

People can relate to good food. Essentially, if you produce a video on honey, that’s what it’s all about: building a connection, a relationship, on the displayed topic/product and your audience. It can be provocative at times, it should always show the love and sincerity, the expertise and love behind the labor.

Tilapia and Tomato Sauce

Sometimes I enjoy spend my evenings refining my tomato sauce to enhance the taste of this lovely dish. It was inspired by my first seafood Italian dish I ate in NYC couple years ago. Of course this is nothing close to what I ate but I often wish to taste it again and tonight I wanted to make something close to it.

To begin I boiled three roma tomatoes and tree tomatoes on vines. I blend them in a food processor with some basil, salt and paper. Meanwhile I prepare the fish on a baking sheet seasoned with margarine, onions, garlic, lemon and dill. It should only be in there for less than half an hour, after you place the fish into the sauce. Bake the fish and the sauce together for another half hour. I made linguini with it but you can also just eat it like a tomato soup but be sure to add more water. Nothing can beat a real homemade tomato sauce :)

Ingredients:

Sauce
- 3 Roma Tomatoes
- 3 Tomatoes on the vines
- Basil
- Dill
- Salt and Pepper
- Onion
- Garlic

Fish
- Tilapia
- Lemon
- Onion
- Garlic
- Margarine
- Dill
- Salt and Pepper

Seafood Frenzy (:

I made this dish in a hurry, but I was able to finish it on time. It’s a sweet, savory and spicy recipe with some seafood mixed in!

For the seafood: I boiled the shrimp, mussels and cooked the fish first. I let them cool and then ripped the fish to smaller pieces.

Then…

For the sauce: I mixed in tomatoes, bell peppers, (would have added onions but there were none left), garlic, sesame oil, salt, pepper for seasoning, portuguese hot sauce and a bit of honey for sweetening. Turned on the stove on high heat, then turned it down to simmer and added shrimp, mussels and the fish.

(continued to do so with all the sauce alternating additions with the seafood).

banana-zucchini goodness

tonight was the first night, in forever where i had the chance to bake.
i feel a sense of relief to be honest, without baking i lose all sense of ease and comfort.
now that i’ve finally put that all to rest, i can have peace of mind.

some would say it’s an addiction, but i like to refer to it as more of a passion -perhaps an obsession. but it’s beautiful either way.

the smell of sweet bread filling the air, is the smell of home sweet home.
